Centre for Advocacy & Research

CFAR is an NGO based in New Delhi, India committed to advancing the rights of underserved Indian communities including the urban poor, the girl child, unorganized workers, sexual minorities, single women, HIV+ people, sex workers, people who inject drugs (PWID), and those living with disabilities.

Eco Femme

Eco Femme is a women-led social enterprise based in Tamil Nadu, India. The nonprofit’s mission is to create environmental and social change through promoting healthy, environmentally sustainable, culturally responsive, and empowering menstrual practices. Eco Femme produces and sells washable, reusable cloth pads, provides menstrual health education, and opens dialogues on menstruation.

Georgetown University’s Social Innovation and Public Service Fund

Georgetown’s SIPS Fund is a $1.5 million student-run fund that allocates award money every year to help students and alumni start their own social ventures. Project RISHI at Georgetown has received over $13,000 over the past two years to support our menstrual health and iron-deficiency anemia projects!

Grameen Avam Samajik Vikas Sanstha

Grameen Avam Samajik Vikas Sanstha is an NGO based in Ajmer, Rajasthan whose mission is to transform the rural poor, especially women, children, and migrants, by educating, inspiring, and mobilizing to create real change.


Lucky Shakti Leaf

Lucky Shakti Leaf was created by the Canadian social enterprise, Lucky Iron Life (formerly Lucky Iron Fish), and was specially designed for the Indian market. Lucky Shakti Leaf is a natural solution for iron deficiency anemia. The Lucky Shakti Leaf is a simple and effective cooking tool that gives a boost of natural iron to any boiling liquid to which it is added. Lucky Shakti Leaf’s mission is to prevent and treat iron deficiency anemia by partnering with various NGOS and companies to sell and distribute the product as well as educate communities on anemia.

The Corp

The Corp is a public, non-profit organization that consists of eight subsidiary companies. The employees and Board of Directors are all undergraduate students at Georgetown University, making The Corp the world’s largest entirely student-run non-profit corporation. We have partnered with The Corp to promote the “RISHI Chai”: an iced chai latte whose proceeds supported our projects.
